NaNoWriMo Wrap Up

So this was supposed to happen last week, but, thanks to a stomach bug, was delayed

I hit my revised NaNoWriMo goal of 40,000 words written on Lucy Harker, Vampire Hunter.   The story isn’t done, but I’ve had to take a break to do some research and rethink part of the plot.    I haven’t gone completely off my outline, but there is a side plot that I have to work out.

In the middle of this, Alterna-Teas was released, and I came down with a stomach bug.  I’ve been out of commission for about a week, conserving my energy for the day job.  Once I had finished the critical part of it, I took sick time off.  It’s given me time to think, but not the energy to write. I did complete reading my 36th book this year, meeting the goal for my Goodreads 2016 Reading Challenge.  And did I mention that I’m behind on making Christmas gifts?

I’m feeling better, although I’m not back to my normal yet.  I’m back to my day job as of today, and I’ll start working on Chaos Wolf and Lucy Harker, Vampire Hunter again tonight.  That is if I don’t disappear into a pile of yarn and crochet hooks.
